The African 6 Note Xylo, also known as a balafon, is a beautiful musical instrument from The Gambia, hand carved from teak by local people. Suspended below the wooden bars of the xylophone are six different sized gourds. The gourds amplify the sound of the xylophone, producing various tones.

This beautifully crafted African instrument makes an ideal introduction to African instruments and will appeal to children and adults alike.
